Normally I don't review movies, but I felt compelled to do so for this one to combat all the bogus negative ones. Most negative reviews complain how "woke" this movie is and that its political agenda is in your face. I don't think these people even saw the movie. There is no political agenda or message of any kind as far as I could tell. The only thing "woke" about it is that the cast is diverse. No one ever makes a big deal out of it during the movie or even mentions it at all, the characters are just who they are. If you have problems seeing non-white people on screen or (mild spoilers) a gay couple who *gasp* share a brief, non-romantic kiss, this movie is not for you. If, however, you are not a bigot, you will probably enjoy this movie.

The cast was excellent, and the story very engaging and interesting. This is not your typical Marvel movie, it doesn't follow the usual "Marvel formula" and not every character is a quip machine. That's not to say other Marvel movies are bad, I enjoy the heck out of them. But this movie stands out from the other movies as something completely different. You don't even need to be a Marvel fan to enjoy it, as it works well as a standalone sci-fi movie. I believe it might even be the first MCU movie since 2008's Iron Man to not feature a single character from a previous movie.

The only negative aspect in my opinion is the run-time. Two and a half hours is long for any movie, and this one isn't quite as action packed as say Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame. It doesn't necessarily drag in any spots, but you will likely notice the length. The length, however, was necessary to introduce an entirely new cast of characters and explain their stories and motivations.

Overall, I would rate this movie a solid 8 or 9 out of 10. I am however giving it a 10 to help reverse the skew the bogus negative reviews gave it.
