Review of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) by Dan I — 15 Sep 2015

A piece of filmmaking that manages to perfectly hit every note it sets out to hit. Simultaneously hopeful and hopeless, Jim Carrey worked perfectly as the quiet but romantic Joel while Kate Winslet perfectly embodied the manic pixie dream girl burdened under the weight of her own identity crisis.

This is one of only two films I wish I'd written first. Brilliant work.
