Review of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) by Jayden B — 08 Jul 2014
It's difficult for adults to watch this film and realize the genius in it. For adults, it's a cheesy, corny, contrived work of no historical value. But to kids, it's something different. It's magical.
The reason the audience rating is so low is due completely to the fact that grown ups look at this film and think nothing of it. But if you look at the film through the eyes of a child, you realize how great it really is and how it deserves a lot better than 71%.
It's a shame.
