Review of Espionage in Tangiers (1965) by Bruce B — 22 Sep 2011
This is another Euro Spy Film, and I am told it was as popular as James Bond Gold Finger in Italy when it first came out. Like other Euro Spy movies of the sixties it tried hard to be spy thriller but it just didn't hit the high point like any James Bond Film.
In this film a scientist invents a ray gun that can destroy anything, making the holder the king of the world. Of course its captured by bandits and now is up for sale to the highest bidder and its Mike Murphy's job to recover it.
This is first spy thriller that I have watched where the bad guys have all the neat gadgets and the secret agent has nothing but a gun and the deadly karate chop 3 Stars.
