Review of Escape Plan (2013) by Tariq H — 17 May 2014
This movie squandered a great chance to make an effective social commentary on the modern day issue of rendition. It is also a terrible film that has too little action, and poorly developed characters, plot holes, and is just boring in general.
At two hours long it is way too long and I was getting pretty anxious for it to end by that point. The twists that are tossed in come too late and really do feel hastily put together. Hopefully someone else will work with this idea and make a better film.
This is not one of Stallone's better performances and it's not that he's too old. The script just wasn't good enough to be believable.
