Review of Escape Plan 2: Hades (2018) by Andre B — 29 Jun 2018
I imagine Hades is a place where they force you to watch Escape Plan 2 on a loop. No Schwarzenegger and Stallone shows up just long enough to collect his paycheck. If there is anything redeeming about this VOD cash grab it is literally the last half hour when Breslin (Stallone) finally has something to do with the story.
It isn't good, but almost "Stallone bad"... almost. The first Escape Plan was enjoyably lowbrow while Escape Plan 2: Hades is depressingly low budget, and hold on to your barf bags because we're facing down an Escape Plan trilogy.
The third (Devil's Station) having been shot back to back with part 2... This is not a good sign. Also, Bautista is awesome and I am genuinely shocked by how much I like him as an actor, but his presence here feels nothing short of whorish.
