Review of Escape from Tomorrow (2013) by Zachary G — 06 Jul 2014
Fascinating for its guerilla-style shoot in Disney Theme Parks, this often beautiful-looking and strange film unfortunately fails to deliver any meaningful digs at the Disney corporation. Sure the rides are twisted into haunting, nightmarish visions and the princesses are high-priced escorts, but the film seems to obsessed with being weird for weird's sake to develop out the characters in any meaningful way.
The main character is boring and unlikable, so having to take this strange journey with him zaps any real thrill out of the proceedings.
