Review of Escape from New York (1981) by Patrick E — 29 May 2009
Not sure why it's universally praised but it's a decent movie. I didn't like the fact that the first forty minutes consists of nothing but long takes of Snake Plissken walking from place to place and the lack of action but Kurt Russell's performance makes it worth watching.
Also, Adrienne Barbeau's cleavage. It's a helluva slow burn and completely overrated but I still kinda liked it. Especially the second time. I've seen too many future dystopias...
