Review of Escape from New York (1981) by Geoff W — 27 Oct 2009
Re-watching some cult classics again. Escape holds up pretty well in many respects, and it certainly is a somewhat entertaining movie. However, aside from the snappy Carpenter synthesizer music, it really didn't offer me much. Even Plissken was a weaker character than I remembered. I don't think I ever have to revisit this one again.
Snake has wicked cool pants though, which raised the rating by half a star.
