Review of Escape from New York (1981) by Troy F — 06 Dec 2009
Wow, this was pretty classic. Kurt Russell is bad ass Snake Plisken in this futuristic sci-fi action flick as a prisoner sent on a mission to New York, now a island in despair and populated with bad guys, to rescue the president of the U.
S., though it doesn't end up being an easy task. This movie is pretty dark and serious, but well done and made and is thrilling throughout most of the duration.
