Review of Escape from New York (1981) by Paul W — 23 Jan 2011
We have a cool leading character in Russells Snake Plisken and some good supporting casting. We have a great premise and a nice, darkly shot film. This is an 80s action movie and a Carpenter film all the way through, low budget, nicely shot, nicely made.
But there is something just lacking when I got to the end of the film. Enjoyable enough though.
