Escape from New York (1981).

Directed by: John Carpenter.

R, 1 hr. 39 min.

Release Date: January 1, 1981.

A recap recent recollection review: Well I can`t believe I had`nt seen this this though parts had not eluded me over the years I have to say a complete viewing wasn`t much chop at all. I can see where the budget was exceedingly well spent and where the tech was sourly lacking for the concepts of what we have today, though brilliant for the most part really relied on the rather well written sci-fi slightly hidden under a futuristic political kidnapping in getto territory of New York. Unfortunately i`ve seen Kurt Russel play a better part and only little percent of cast didn`t fail me with performance excitement but again the was the motion or the scene set tht kinda made it work even this late in the game where-as a predetermined float of opinion is granted it`s grace.

Pretty cool and understandably a blockbuster cult flick of the early eighties home grown action hero. Nostalgic epic for the broadening of genres.
