Carpenter and Russell team up to make an awesome action/adventure/fantasy film. Its a race against time with the ultimate bad-ass hired to save the President. I love the basic idea and presentation, and the whole visual landscape just works for me.
Lee Van Cleef is always awesome. And Pleasence never ceases to be weird. Great little picture, "The Thing" may be my favorite Russell/Carpenter team-up, but this is a solid second.
