Review of Escape from New York (1981) by David A — 20 Aug 2014
Though it can sometimes be dull and slow, "Escape from New York" still manages to pull out a lot of entertaining value and suspense thanks to its atmosphere, original storyline, and a likable performance by Kurt Russell.
If the characters weren't so bland and the plot points weren't so questionable, the film would have been a masterpiece. It's still is a cult classic, though.
