Review of Escape from L.A. (1996) by Rafiq U — 27 Aug 2008
This is just another really entertaining movie by John Carpenter that has Kurt Russell and Steve Buscemi, which is like a match made in heaven for me. The only flaw you could really say about the movie is that the story is really similar to Escape from New York, but this movie is too much fun to just penalize it for that.
Also I'm pretty sure it was intentional on John Carpenter's part, where all the characters are saying stuff like "Oh isn't this familiar?" Just go watch it, you'll have a blast.
