Review of Escape from L.A. (1996) by Orlok N — 31 Dec 2009
This is the sequel to the John Carpenter film Escape from New York. Kurt Russell is also back as Snake Plissken. Much like the original film the future looks very bleak. This time Snake Plissken is sent to the prison Island of Los Angeles.
He must go in and save the President's daughter to become a free man. Much like the original movie he has to start interacting with the local prisoners to get what he wants. Kurt Russell is still great as Snake Plissken.
The movie is kind of cheesy but in a fun way. The story is okay and it does have some solid action. If you liked the original movie or enjoy future desolate world type of film then this is worth checking out.
