Review of Escape from L.A. (1996) by Tony G — 16 Jun 2011
Escape from L.A. started out pretty disappointingly, the first 15 minutes or so being exactly the same as Escape from New York, but the film quickly won me over. It takes all the best parts of its predecessor and injects it with a booster shot of style, adrenalin and silliness.
It's crazier and has a better told story than the original, and great performances from guests such as Steve Buscemi, Bruce Campbell and Pam Grier. A damn entertaining film that really shouldn't be missed.
