Review of Escape from L.A. (1996) by Gregory L — 02 Jul 2012
BLU-RAY REVIEW-Sequel to a 80's classic, Escape from New York. Definetly not as good as the first one. The effects should be better for 1996, some characters have no use in this movie and are there to just be there.
The picture quality is good, but the bonus features suck. Its fun, campy, cheesy crap. Kurt Russell is very underused and has to deliver some bad lines. Snake is very over the top and fun, but gets really silly.
They don't explain why he hates and doesn't care about his country that much. Also, the villan sucks! Unless this movie is that fun to you, or it has some personal meaning to you, don't rush out and buy it.
Its enjoyable most of the movie in a playful way.
