I like prison movies, and I can't believe it took me so long to get around to seeing Escape from Alcatraz. Clint Eastwood is predictably outstanding in the role of Frank Morris.The escape is a bit anticlimatic, but the movie's real strength is in its detailing of life in Alcatraz.
If you love San Francisco, this classic is a must-see.
