Review of Escape from Alcatraz (1979) by Edgar C — 27 Mar 2010
Heart-pounding, thrilling excitement. Siegel does not do the best of his efforts here, yet the magnificent cold stare of Clint Eastwood's persona helps the claustrophobic and suspenseful environment to build up until the final minutes of the film. Amazing score and a pretty well elaborate screenplay, so it is funny how people do not recognize a good flick when they see it, especially when everybody overrates that goddamn Shawshank Redemption and show their meanness to this film... XD.
81/100.
