Review of Eros (2004) by Roger I — 28 Jan 2009
Being that this is a series of shorts, it is hard to judge it all as one thing. It is a good anthology, with some pretty good performances... except for Michelangelo Antonioni's piece which was a very mediocre execution of a mediocre story.
WKW and Soderbergh did great in their shorts about love and sexuality, Antonioni's piece just... well it spoils it. It's not that its terrible, but its so sloppily done that it just drags down the rating for this anthology.
Robert Downey Jr. was amazing in this as was Alan Arkin, Gong Li, and Chang Chen. Really good stuff from WKW and Soderbergh.
