Review of Ernest & Celestine (2012) by Jc E — 04 Mar 2013
Wonderful French animation of the unlikely friendship between Ernest the bear and Celestine the mouse. I haven't seen a better animation since Ratatouille, which happens to be also a story with a mouse living in Paris who loves to cook.
Ernest & Celestine is so original and simple and short that it makes me realize that there are still wonderful animations that could capture my heart and imagination. Such gems, however, are few and far in between.
But when you find one, it really lights up my day.
