Review of Ernest & Celestine (2012) by Ahmed S — 21 Jan 2014
Ernest and Celestine has the simplest, sweetest and most important plot in an animation I've seen this year. This is all the emotion, the depth, the symbolism and the mere sense of artistry that Hollywood forsakes in its animated features nowadays to instead fill a movie with brilliant graphics rather than subject and worthy content.
Ernest and Celestine is about love, friendship, the demons that the society builds for itself, the fear of discovering new areas in life and aspires to send a message that world peace, while being nearly impossible to achieve, is worth trying.
By far my favorite animation of the year so far.
