Review of Ernest & Celestine (2012) by Kyle C — 04 Aug 2014

I think that people underestimate the power of 2d animation. It can look absolutely gorgeous if handled correctly. And boy is that more evident in Ernest & Celestine, a cute story about a mouse who befriends a bear (That is not supposed to happen. Ever.).

I love the characters in this movie. Celestine is absolutely adorable and I love how creative this world is. The hand drawn animation matches the atmosphere perfectly in this movie. The voice acting was great, the humor is on point, and although things that happen don't get really interesting until the climax, the story is very cute and I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves the simple storybook way of telling tales.

8/10 Amazing.
