Review of Erin Brockovich (2000) by Winston L — 29 Dec 2008
The plot is simple enough but the story is told in a manner that is both inspirational and impactful: an unemployed, broke, and desperately-looking-for-job single and twice-divorced mother of three, Erin Brockovich refused to be defeated by her circumstances, despite failures after failures.
Roberts was able to make the audience sit up and sympathise with Erin's cause with her balls-grabbing performance... pretty much the same way Erin grabbed PG&E by the balls.
Good, but I've seen better biographic stories.
