Review of Erasing David (2009) by Toni S — 01 Sep 2011
Ever wondered how much information is being stored by the corporations you do business with or your very own government? Erasing David attempts to answer this question and does so in a very engaging and scarey way. Director David Bond attempts to "go off the grid" for 30 days and then hires a detective firm to find him based on the information that is available.
This film is an exercise in how important your privacy is to you and despite your own actions to protect your privacy - how those efforts really don't matter.
I liked David Erasing as an eye opening documentary at what may be stored about a person in a world where privacy continues to erode away with the use of technology, social networks, and corporations' desire to collect information on their customers.
I recommend it.
