Review of Eraserhead (1977) by Martin S — 06 Oct 2010
Such incredible visionary! David Lynch created a nightmare in film form, baffling both movie goers and film critics alike.
It's B&W photography, the noir-ish lighting and creative sound design are the film's main tools, which creates a feeling of dread and hopelessness. Some of the set pieces, make-up and practical effects (like the planet and the mutant baby) looks splendid despite it's budget.
Eraserhead is the Citizen Kane of surrealist films. If you want to go through a film experience unlike any other, watch this film and be amazed!
