Review of Eraserhead (1977) by Aaron G — 20 Dec 2012
A dark surreal film that burrows into the fear of the unexplainable and the bizarre. The strange acting methods by the cast range from uncomforting to crazy. Cooked chickens squirting blood, a malformed child, visions of the moon and worms traveling through space.
Although Eraserhead has fantastic visual effects, its true strength comes through its use of sound. The ambient noise that takes precedence over everything is what keeps you on your toes throughout the entire film.
