Review of Eraser (2014) by Halvard D — 15 Jun 2008
Eraser is a rubbish, but loveable film. The acting is awful, the characters are stock and the lines are clichéd, but the action brings laughter and a smile to one's face. It's one of those films where the bad guys can't aim a gun to save their bacon despite all having training and experience using firearms. It's the kind of film where the hero is shot, but the bullet in his chest only distracts him and seems to have gone completely within a minute or so. It's a film where the plot has been rehashed and redone more times than you can shake a small tree at, but for all its wrong doing, it's fun.
The point is, if you spend all day nit picking at the film you'll miss what's really good about it: crocodiles. Or are they alligators? Either way, you know a film is good when crocogators jump out and eat the bad guys. It's these stupid, implausible things that bring a bland concept to life.
