Review of Eraser (2014) by Marco M — 14 Jul 2009
90s action movies always involved a simple formula: 1 character who needed to be portected/saved in light of a larger plot + 1 action hero to do the protecting/saving + a large plot involving bad guys + lots of guns and explosions = Action Movie. That said, this film pretty much incorporates all of that, and having lived through that era obsessed with how awesome these movies were, I liked this one quite a bit. Plus, it even has a bit of comedy, with the Tony's gang near the end at the dock and Schwarzenegger's wise-ass remarks.
Calderon: Don't you ever get tired of babysitting scumbags?
John: Yeah, but in your case I'll make an exception.
