Review of Eraser (1996) by Craig H — 08 Sep 2012
I always liked Eraser. It's quick to start and end, it's simple and very to the point, Arnold kills makes luggage of crocodiles, clings onto the side of a speeding aeroplane at thirty odd thousand feet and never even breaks a sweat, all in the line of duty for the biggest action star of the last decade or so.
Eraser never attempts to be bold, never attempts to be anything other than a box office smash an grab for Schwarzenegger. It's relentless action see Arnold as an Eraser, simply he erases peoples lives to give them a fresh start as someone else. However he gets involved with a woman who may have stumbled upon something that might get her killed.
I really couldn't say anything more because that's it for two hours guns, bangs, crocodiles and the infamous Schwarzenegger one liners. It's not a bad film, it's good if your an action junkie but it's not for the thinking man. Although this features one of the best climaxes in a Schwarzenegger film I've ever seen and is deffo worth the rental price alone.
It's stupid to a point but really what Schwarzenegger film that doesn't involve James Cameron isn't? Recommended if you are a big Arnold fan or you love your action short and sweet!
