Review of Eragon (2006) by Diana D — 20 Dec 2012
They should have spent more money on a writer for the movie instead of dramatic music. Interesting book with decent plot: check. Talented Cast for the characters: check. Dialogue for the movie script: FAIL.
Following the best parts of the book: FAIL. If you're going to digress from the book, at least write better lines or be creative with the plot, instead of subtracting away from it with horrible dialogue and adding cheesiness that makes your ears bleed.
Jeremy Irons and John Malkovich should receive an apology. The actors would have been better off if they had ad-libbed the entire movie. So sad to waste a good book series, a great cast for the characters, opportunity for some awesome cgi and potential for a successful movie series with a rookie director and a screen play that even Micheal Bay would say was over-the-top cheesy.
I read the book series and wish I had never watched this movie rendition.
