Review of Eragon (2006) by Miho U — 11 Jan 2014

I've watched many fantasy movies, and my dream was to be a witch when I was child. I hoped that I can use telepathy, wings, and magic. This movie, is called "Eragon", was incorporates all the elements of my dream. The main character is only 17 years old. His name is "Eragon". This movie is based on a book, and it's the first series.

Let me explain the basic story of this movie. When Eragon hunted in the forest, a big blue egg appeared suddenly, in front of him. Of course he was surprised, but he brought it to his house. Before that happened, that egg was sent from an elf queen who was captured by an evil magician. A few days later, the egg hatched out, and the small blue dragon appeared. At first, Eragon was confused, but he's kind so he decided to bring up that blue dragon. A few days pass, Eragon heard a rumor of a legend of a dragon rider. When he ate dinner at meeting place, one man begin to talk by himself. Eragon listened to it silently, and he realized that story was about the dragon which he was bring up. After dinner, Eragon mentioned that man, but he didn't tell the story anymore. The next day, Eragon tried to fly his small dragon. Soon, small blue dragon became huge and he used telepathy with Eragon. The dragon's name is "Saphira". She said she have chosen him inside of egg. This is the beginning of his journey. But the next day, the evil magician came to Eragon's house, and he killed Eragon's step father. According to Brom who talked about "the legend of dragon" said that evil magician wanted to kill Eragon. So Eragon decided to go to "Varden" there is a base of a rebel army with Brom. During the journey, Eragon faced many problems. He met new companies, but Brom was killed by evil magician's underlings. When he reached Varden, Varden's villagers are already ready for the fight with the empire and evil magician. Then, Eragon and Saphira prepare for the war and they're bound become stronger. The war was begin.

This movie doesn't use famous actors or actresses. So many people are tend to avoid to watching it. But if you like fantasy movies, I strongly recommend this movie. It's true that the visual effects are a little rough ,however you'll excite it. I think this movie leads you to wonderful world.
