Review of Eragon (2006) by Michael P — 04 Apr 2012
If you ever want to see a movie that took a great book and completely ruined it this is the movie to see. It changes so many details that it makes it impossible to make Eldest into a movie. Also the acting is not particularly good especially with John Malkovich hamming it up as King Galbatorix.
(Which is surprising because he's generally a good actor.) The only redeeming factor of the movie is that Jeremy Irons did a fantastic job as Brom but as in the book (they actually had something stay the same) he dies after about one third of the movie and from then on Eragon is nearly unwatchable.
