Equilibrium has an interesting storyline but lacks a bigger budget. This isn't a bad thing because the director has to keep things tight and it gives the film an interesting look and a sensation of entrapment very well suited for this story.
It's actually a good film to watch if you are a fan of minimalistic sci-fi.
