Review of Equilibrium (2002) by Anne T — 02 Jun 2015
I actually dig it. It's not really that bad as what everybody says. I did enjoy it. Set in the future, where you will be violated while you are too attach with your emotions. You might be executed nor be killed on the spot.
And Bale as John Preston, I did like his character. Bale did an impressive job on his performance, becoming emotionless, while he is already have been attach to things. And speaking of this guy, he is one bad ass dude.
He mastered the art of gun fighting. He handled the sword, and duel held pistols like a boss. But in order to fight his weaknesses, he need to adjust things out as he is still a part of the order. Some sacrifices will do.
But then justice will prevail. I do like the theme. And I thought the gun fights scenes are definitely one of the best shootouts scenes in a film. I love it. Great flick, and perfect guilty pleasure for everyone.
Surprisingly, Sean Bean died. 4/5.
