By David Nusair (3,363) for Reel Film Reviews (3,339) on 13 Oct 2015

Review of Equals (2015)

By Josh Cabrita (87) for The Young Folks (1,024) on 19 Sep 2015

The film is low-key and doesn't overplay its drama. There is a pureness to this generic and lively love story…

Review of Equals (2015)

By Sam Woolf (118) for We Got This Covered (2,391) on 15 Sep 2015

Equals may lack for inspired construction and razor-sharp plotting, but achieves moments of tactile sensuality that are rare for its genre…

Review of Equals (2015)

By Katey Rich (412) for Vanity Fair (761) on 13 Sep 2015

Equals and its recycled dystopian ideas may feel like nothing new, but that's not a problem for the romance at its center, as old-fashioned…

Review of Equals (2015)

By Drew Mcweeny (622) for Hitfix (861) on 13 Sep 2015

If you can get past the witlessness of the world itself, there is some very good work in Equals, and fans of the cast will be no doubt pleased…

Review of Equals (2015)

By Peter Debruge (1,557) for Variety (12,700) on 11 Sep 2015

Review of Equals (2015)

By David Rooney (943) for The Hollywood Reporter (7,050) on 11 Sep 2015

Review of Equals (2015)

By Jonathan Romney (434) for Screen International (2,241) on 11 Sep 2015

Equals just about passes muster as a solid vignette of love against the odds, but when it comes to futurism, its vision is dustily archaic…

Review of Equals (2015)

By Robbie Collin (1,612) for Daily Telegraph (UK) (2,495) on 06 Sep 2015

The film has so little to say about forbidden love, and gives its stars so little dramatic sinew to flex, that it already feels like a footnote…

Review of Equals (2015)

By Alonso Duralde (1,351) for TheWrap (3,203) on 04 Sep 2015

Ultimately, Equals fails because Silas and Nia aren’t all that much more interesting as a romantic couple than they are as zombie-like individuals…
