Its theme and message are certainly familiar and its sidekicks and humor are typically and annoyingly new age, but Epic has truly outstanding animation and designs, great voice work, engaging. emotional plot and exhilarating action sequences, the best since 'Tarzan', making it an undeservedly underrated flick and not to mention that it is , together with 'Horton', the best effort yet to come from "Blue Sky Studios'.
