Great movie but is anyone struck by the "Honey I shrunk the kids" and "Ferngully" cross going on in it?? Save the forest (Ferngully) big person shrunk to help (Ferngully) and geeky Dad that's too wrapped up in his science (the entire Honey I series).
But in spite (or maybe because) of those similarities this movie is well drawn and voiced. Queen Tara isn't uppity to make her disliked and Ronan isn't too stuffy to be unrelateable. At times MK gets too close to obnoxious teenage girl.
Slug and snail combo was a pretty good idea. It was nice for a change to have a bad guy who also had a heart, he was at least nice to his kid.
