Review of Entourage (2015) by Tony C — 06 Jun 2015
I was not a Entourage (show) fan from years ago. Once I heard the movie was coming out, I decided to binge watch all seasons straight through. The first two lagged quite a bit, but by season three I found myself so into it, that I couldn't wait to watch the next one. Having seen the very last episode, I now could not wait to see the movie. Disappointed...yes. The trailers show the best scenes of the movie (as most trailers do) and what I expected is not what I got. The movie ended up being a two hour version of the show which had quick short cameos of the Hollywood big names. SPOILER.... I expected Rhonda Rhousey to play a bigger role in the movie and see her more.
I think Doug Ellin is a very creative writer and creator, I think the actors are perfect for their roles and the movie was about average. Rather than make it a big blockbuster release HBO should have just had a two hour movie special. Worth $12 movie price, no. Worth $8 matinee, maybe.
