Review of Entourage (2015) by Donald P — 07 Jun 2015
The critic's were right about it feeling like a 1 hr 45 min episode of the show. However, being a fan of the show I loved it. It was very nostalgic to me seeing the cast reunited again. Ari totally makes this movie as he did the show. Drama's character kept me laughing and the guy's relationship seemed just as strong as the show left it. The cameos were nice though critics believe it was all it was but if you think about and split the film into 3 episodes, it had just enough cameos like the show always did.
I think people's expectations were that the film would have a dramatic climax and that the characters would be more dynamic, but it seems though as Doug Ellin just wanted to show what next project the boys worked on after the series ended.
I understand it doesn't have all the elements to a great film and maybe this shows Ellin's limitations to being a great TV writer. But as a fan of the show, this film had everything I was looking for in the world of "Entourage" and I loved it. I was the only laughing in the theatre.
