While the movie says that it caters to people who have never watched the show and for people who were fans of the show, it is better to have seen the show then to go in cold as you will be more emotionally attached to the characters.
Thankfully I watched the show so I very much enjoyed the movie. It is very funny and lives up to what fans were expecting from the movie. One problem is sometimes when they introduced a celebrity cameo it felt forced.
It was better when the cameo felt more organic.
