If you are a huge fan of the TV series you should totally ignore the critics on this one and go see this movie with a close group of your wildest friends. Sometimes the audience gets it wrong and sometimes the critics get it wrong. On this one the critics blew it. This is most likely because they have to review the movie but either haven't seen the show or didn't like season 1 because they thought the show was shallow.

If you are a true fan of the show you will appreciate the great job that Doug Ellin did on this film. He didn't sell out and totally made this movie for the fans of the TV series.

Entourage has always been an escape from our PC world. It has always been a guilty pleasure for mostly men but for some women too. It has always been about living vicariously through a close group of friends who are living the dream in Hollywood. It's never been about deep plot lines, out of this world acting, or furthering a cause. It has always been about laughs, crazy times, lots of cameos, and feeling like one of the guys.

Doug Ellin's film delivers on everything you want as a fan....more entourage with a bigger budget. You get all of your favorite cameos that the critics probably don't understand and an explosion of additional cameos that will make you chuckle. All the guys are being their usual selves and doing the things their characters are known for doing in the TV series. I can't think of anyone that was left out in terms of the main cast except for Ari's daughter, Terrance, and Melinda.

While critics and newbies in the audience will see a giant tattoo of a chubby Vincent Chase sporting a mustache on a man's back and think what's the point of this, you'll be super pumped because you're about to see one of your favorite characters, Billy Walsh, who directed Vince in Medellin: The Pablo Escobar Story. Just ignore all of the critics complaining about the lack of character arc, objectification, lack of political correctness, or a deep plot. They sat down expecting something else. When you go watch entourage you have to treat it like you're going to a comedy show. You have to leave everything that makes you squirm at the door and pick it up on the way out.

If you were a big fan of the show you'll get exactly what you want...more time with the guys being the guys. You'll hear many critics say "this is like a 2 hour extension to the TV series with nothing new" and you'll be thinking: "Exactly! That's what I wanted. Thanks for not messing up the party Doug Ellin." Be sure to STAY THROUGH THE CREDITS for a cool and somewhat sentimental ending. Go for the parties, the girls, the laughs, this crazy/ridiculous/idiotic/close group of friends....just go have fun! Simple as that!
