Review of Entourage (2015) by Anthony K — 07 Dec 2015
F*ck it - I really liked this movie. Granted, I am a huge fan of the show, which I feel has become victim to the un-ironic eye of the SJW movement and so has fallen out of fashion. But I have always maintained this is **satire** - regardless of the luxuriant lifestyle and misogynist attitudes, I get the sense that these are some of the nicest, most emotional men in Hollywood. Ari in particular is all heart, despite berating and verbally abusing those closest to him (only Piven could pull that off, right?).
But the fun and sheer watchability of the series is there. Who cares if the movie Vince is making is (extremely) improbably masterful; that's what this show has always done. Remember the one scene you see of Aquaman in the Santa Monica brownout episode? In this movie's world, that film is the highest grossing of all time. I like that, too, because from everything I have ever heard of the film making process, you really don't know what is going to 'work' (ugh) or not until it is released.
