Critics gave it a low rating but gave spongebob a decent rating? I compare the two because they are both based off of 30 minute episode shows. The Spongebob movie is the same story of plankton trying to steal the formula for crabby pattys, yet critics say this is just entourage season 9 in 1:45 minutes.
I think the critics are wrong and are afraid to give a positive review on a movie with adult humor and nudity. I enjoyed the movie and so did the people I was with that never saw the show on HBO. I would like to know what makes a great movie in the minds of the "critics" cause I thought sponge bob was horrible.
This was much more entertaining. This movie stayed true to the show and that's what I expected going in. I wouldn't expect a movie like say the Avengers to change what it's about or lose sight of its origins, so why should we expect any different from this film.
Critics must have hated it from the start and before they saw it. Critics are wrong as usual.
