Review of Enter the Dragon (1973) by Jason R — 04 Jul 2009
The perfect martial arts movie. The story and format have been duplicated multiple times (island best-of-the-best combat), but it hasn't been matched. It almost has a James Bond type feel at points with the typical spy features of a super-villain and an intricate take over the world plot, but it combines that with great choreographed fighting (which is also pre-wire work which is popular now).
The characters are pulp cliches but in the world created by this film, they work.
