Review of Enter the Dragon (1973) by Jake C — 22 Apr 2013
This is it, Bruce Lee's best work and materpiece. He went out with a bang, that's for sure.
Lee goes undercover to an island where illegal tournaments are held and seeks to bust the guy in charge. Sound familar? It should, this movie has inspired tons of games and movies after it. Like The Big Boss, Lee does not do too much fighting until the middle but the movie slowly builds up to the point and keeps you waiting. Although there is a fight earlier on where he is out in the courtyard.
Not to mention, John Saxon and the always awesome Jim Kelley are the co-stars and they are great.
Of course, like every Bruce Lee movie though the best things about this are the fight scenes and Bruce Lee himself. Bruce finally didn't have to use a dub so it's cool to hear his real voice for a change. Great plot, great fights and an awesome cast. Everything came full circle here. This would be Bruce Lee's last movie because I don't count that piece of garbage Game of Death.
