Review of Enter the Dragon (1973) by Ste R — 01 May 2010
I saw Enter the Dragon the first time when I was 11 @ a Korean friends house who's dad had a top loader VCR (my family didn't own one because they were so damn expensive) & it blew my mind.
It was the first Bruce Lee movie I had seen & the final showdown w/ him & Kien Shin's bladed hand in that mirrored room was forever embedded in my head. Now I look & this movie differently because I know it has John Saxon in it & Jim Kelly & so it misses that wide eyed child amazement but it is still badass.
Certainly Lee's most polished flix but I love the last 20 minutes of Game of Death (one of the first movies I rented when we got our VCR) more then anything Lee has done. Sadly the material arts master was taken from us too soon but his Legend (which transcends his movies) will always live on.
