Review of Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room (2005) by Kenneth R — 11 Oct 2008
The timing could not be more perfect to see this quintessential tale of corporate greed and male hubris in America's biggest corporate bankruptcy (to date). Smoke and mirrors accounting and the deregulation of California's electricity grid provided the scene for unprecedented paper profits and a share price that bore no relation to reality.
The final message from this film is that "it could happen again" as it has done with alarming regularity in the current market meltdown of toxic debt. Do not miss this film.
