Review of Enough Said (2013) by Rob W — 04 Jan 2014
High on my list of top movies this year. It's actually an adult/mature comedy with character growth -- how rare nowadays! (In terms of being a mature comedy, it reminded me of Young Adult, which I also really enjoyed.
) A great script. It's very relatable, and ouch, it hit close to home in some ways. I am Eva. I liked the awkward moments between the two main characters. Julia Louis Dreyfus is amazing, and it's so great to see her in a movie.
Her facial expressions and timing are impeccable. She's quite in her element. And James Gandolfini is a real treasure, and quite the gentle giant in this film (RIP). There were many hilarious moments, but also ones that really made me tear up and cry.
The movie explored so many different types of relationships (friend-friend, ex-ex, mother-daughter, boss-maid, etc). The movie has been a bit underrated, in my opinion.
